You all had teachers who gave you a ton of worksheets and book work to keep you busy. Mr. Bank spends a lot of time trying to make creative stuff for you to do, instead.
1. Do you realize that every crayon, colored pencil or pen you throw is something Mr. B. went and bought for YOU - so you can have nice things and do creative projects?

Same for computers - do you realize having 6 computers is rare and a blessing?  We have a nice set up here: How are you doing your part to keep it nice?  Are you respecting OUR room and our stuff?

2. We take pride in America as being tough - not taking any crap from anyone! Right? But is this the best way to be, all the time?

A tree in a storm that can bend survives the storm. A tree that stands up tall and rigid will snap and die. Like a teacher can snap, losing his temper. Or a student can snap - making the wrong decision - and then getting in deep trouble.

How is being able to bend like a tree, and let things go, a smarter and healthier way to handle a lot of the little things that bother us?  Instead of screaming and hitting and getting mad, why is walking away better - even if it seems less "tough" at the moment?
