Trace

definition:  List in steps

To Do:  Use Trace in one sentence.  

Ex:  Using a recipe, trace the steps to baking cupcakes.


Next word:  Analyze

definition: break apart or break into pieces

To Do: Use Analyze in one sentence

I looked up Central Catholic yesterday - but could have been ANY area high school.

I wanted to check admission requirements for a good local school I hear you guys mentioning. 

First - they requests ALL records

- letters from us (Broadway teachers / administrators)
- acceptance is based on grades, test scores, records and discipline
- ever been in trouble / suspended? 

we teachers can write YOU amazing letters - or not. 

Think about all of that as we move into ...

You guys have seen math equations - these are life equations.

smart + respectful = good student

Or

struggling student + respectful = a hopeful student (positive)

Or

bad grades + bad attitude = no future (negative)

good grades + several suspensions = struggling student! (negative)

Our lives are the result of several decisions - big and small - that build a path to our dreams.

Some stones are big, some small, but all are important in our individual journeys. No one can lay down these stones but you.

Get out the art supplies and draw a life path of stones ... leading to your dreams / goals.

Pair up, or in 3s, and take turns reading a paragraph aloud - but quietly.  Read with your voices on yellow. 

Then make sure your answers on page 13 are correct.  I will help you!
